“APACHETA” BY CRISTIÁN MOHADED

The Apacheta furniture designed by Cristián Mohaded is hence a celebration of movement, contrasts, materials, craftsmanship, unexpected tactile sensations and colours. The sofa, armchairs, bench, stool and tables are covered in the softest Loro Piana Interiors fabrics, like Incas, an alpaca Suri and wool blend. The curvy lines are complemented by hand-chiselled elements in oak wood treated with beeswax: unexpected interludes whose textured, three dimensional presence invites tactile exploration. Another material comes into play on the coffee table: hand-moulded ceramic coloured with pigments created to reproduce the shades of Argentine lagoons - pale blues and reds.
