“Natural Future” is the design mantra that guided Raphael Navot’s refined hand in the creation of the Palm furniture for Loro Piana Interiors: a sofa, chaise longue and ottoman, méridienne, armchair, stools, a side table and a coffee table. He envisions the future not in a cold, hyper-technological vein, but rather as a place of possibility.

Our conversation with Raphael Navot began three years ago, based on the shared language of comfort, timelessness and contemporaneity, and the shared values of craftsmanship, softness, intimacy and conviviality, purity and beauty. The first outcome of this dialogue was The Palm Duet Chaise Longue launched in 2021: a curvy creation that celebrates the sense of touch, with the inviting caress of our Cashfur fabric. The new objects take their inspiration from the distinctive elements of The Palm Duet Chaise Longue, sharing the same soft lines and timeless yet contemporary attitude. They interpret the customary idea of comfort in a new way, with a dynamic spirit, and their forms naturally evoke the position the body will take once in contact with them. They are inspired by and meld with the sensory experience awakened by our fabrics.

Each of these designs can stand alone, expressing its own elegant personality, or be combined with other pieces to create joyful, spontaneous groupings. They are all part of the same family, and bear the same name: “Palm”, like the palm of a hand, cupped to gently hold and protect.
