The thistle flower has featured in the Loro Piana crest since 1951 and symbolises the brand's enduring passion for quality and craftsmanship. Dried thistle flowers are indeed used to produce the Zibeline® finish applied to cashmere: Loro Piana's skilled craftsmen brush the fabric with thistle flowers set in metal frames, which has the effect of creating tiny irregular ripples that accentuate the colours and the softness of the cashmere. Loro Piana Interiors has recreated the thistle flower on decor fabrics and a wallcovering, choosing superlative materials and sophisticated techniques like jacquard, embroidery and printing, in a natural white colourway.
