The Project

Knit Game is an international contest established in 2016, dedicated to talented students from leading design schools around the world.

The students are given the opportunity to gain first hand experience of the company's work and superlative quality, and the chance to come up with a creative interpretation of some of the iconic yarns that encapsulate Loro Piana's renowned excellence.

A special value

This high profile project is part of a long-standing collaboration with design schools, business schools and universities, and is a unique opportunity to ensure that craftsmanship and technical expertise are passed on to future generations.

A tangible opportunity

Each year the winners are given the chance to finalise their projects and see their textiles being produced in the yarn laboratory, working closely with the Research and Development team at Loro Piana's headquarters in Italy.

The finished textiles are then showcased on the Loro Piana booth during the summer edition of the Pitti Filati fair.

The contest ends with a gala dinner and official award ceremony before an international audience of experts and world market leaders.
